Today’s the day!!! Everbloom is officially for sale in stores and online!
It has been six months since I first submitted my piece to be considered for this book. As I shared last week, it was an emotional process to write and edit the chapter that has now found its home beginning on page 86 of Everbloom. As my words, along with the incredible work of the book’s other authors, are released into the world today, I feel it all—fear, hope, pride, gratefulness, humility, more gratefulness.
To purchase Everbloom online, you can visit CBD, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, or Paraclete Press. To WIN A COPY(!!!!!!) share about Everbloom on one or more of your social media outlets to be entered in a drawing (You’ll win a copy of the book + an Everbloom mug!). Finally, I’d like to share a bit of my chapter from the book:
STORIES AND SCARS
I slammed the door of my car and ran up the front steps of the yellow house I had grown up in, tears streaming down my face. Frantic, I hurried in and out of different rooms looking for someone—anyone—to hold me together. This yellow house is where I lost my first tooth, climbed incessantly up the doorframes, and conspired with my sister to try and convince our brother to let us give him makeovers. On this night, it is the yellow house where my mom cradled her 24-year-old daughter like a helpless infant wailing from the pain of a freshly broken heart. “I’m broken, Mom,” I sobbed as gigantic tears fell from my tired eyes. “I’m all broken.”
Just six months before that gut-wrenching night in the yellow house, I was face down on an emergency room stretcher, desperate for a different kind of healing.
To read the rest of my story (and all of the incredible & brave stories in this book!), get your hands on a copy of Everbloom!
